Once again, God is teaching me to obey His voice. No matter how ridiculous it sounds.

God is telling the Israelites how they are going to defeat the city of Jericho. The city of Jericho was huge. They were famous for their wall too. Their wall was so huge and thick that they had chariot races on top of the wall. God tells Joshua that the way they are going to defeat this huge city is by walking around it and then yelling. Then the humongous wall is supposed to fall. Just like that. Joshua doesn’t seem to mind how crazy God sounds. It says, “So Joshua…” did what God said and relayed the message and got moving.

Trusting God’s ways are way better. If Joshua didn’t we wouldn’t have this awesome story of a huge wall falling. Proverbs 3:5 says to trust God with all your heart and not trust what you understand. That’s what we need to do. No matter how crazy or impossible it sounds to us, surrender to God’s leadership and trust that He knows best.
