I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.
One time, in China, all of our screaming paid off and somebody brought boxes of ice cream to those of us hanging out at the church after one of the services! They were a beautiful, multi-colored, collection of dreams. However, there were a couple of things that were different than the experience I was expecting to have.
1) Despite the beautiful differences of colors in the ice creams, they all tasted like very much the same thing: nothing. Chinese people are not big on sweet desserts. So, if you’re like me and you’ve got a mouth full of sweet teeth, many desserts in China can leave you longing for more, but only in your [sweet] dreams.
And then, 2) Guess how we ate the ice cream…
Thats right. Ice cream by way of chop sticks. If struggling to taste the ice cream weren’t hard enough, imagine struggling to pick it up in the first place. You’d better eat it quick, too. Once it melts, you’re out of luck of tasting any of your free dessert.
